Standup Paddleboarder April Zilg: From Couch Potato to Top 10 in the World HGP#001

In this inaugural episode we sit down with world-ranked standup paddleboarder, April Zilg, AKA, “The Vanilla Gorilla”. What started as a stress reliever quickly turned into her favorite hobby.  April started paddling in local races, bought a race board, and in no time she was in the front pack. We discuss what motivated her to get into the sport, nutritional habits, accomplishments, obstacles, and her race goals for 2018.

April shares how she went from a couch potato-beer drinking- pizza eating loafer to top 10 in the world in just 5 years.
